How to write prompts for Loudly

Last checked 4 October 2026Not affiliated with Loudly

Loudly's Text to Music reads a prompt of up to 1,000 characters: describe the mood, the genre, the instruments and the scene the music sits under. Its VEGA models make instrumentals; its MANTA 1 model sings your lyrics, of up to 3,000 characters, beside a Style box. For the VEGA models, set the length from 30 to 420 seconds; there is no negative prompt, so say what you want instead.

What does Loudly read?

Loudly's Text to Music reads one prompt box of up to 1,000 characters, with an Optimize button that rewrites it. A track's length is a setting, from 30 to 420 seconds, and it overrides a length written in the prompt. Its VEGA models make instrumentals; MANTA 1 makes a song with a voice, with a Style box, a vocal gender, an instrumental switch and a lyrics box of up to 3,000 characters.

What does Loudly say a prompt should contain?

Loudly's Text to Music page says to name the mood, the genre, the instruments and the scene the music has to sit under, and warns that very short prompts disappoint. It says the mood, genre, instruments and structure all come out of the words, and its own examples are a sentence or two.

How does APMonster write a Loudly prompt?

APMonster writes Loudly's prompt as up to two sentences, written as a listening experience: the genre, the energy, the tempo ("N BPM" when there is one) and the production's texture, followed by a sentence for the song's arc. It stays under 1,000 characters, the limit of Loudly's prompt box.

Text to Music has no tempo or energy setting, so both go in the words. Create, Analyze and Reimagine write for Loudly's instrumental VEGA models, and so does LyrAssist's Loudly target, which writes a vocal guide for a singer to record over the track.

How does APMonster write for MANTA 1?

MANTA 1 sings, and LyrAssist has a target for it, Loudly MANTA 1. It writes sung lyrics for MANTA 1's lyrics box, held under 3,000 characters. Loudly documents no lyric format, so the lyrics use plain section labels on their own lines, such as [Verse 1] and [Chorus]: the common practice, not a Loudly rule.

Make music prompt then writes MANTA 1's Style box, under 1,000 characters, with the voice described in words, and the panel lists the boxes to paste in the order Loudly's form shows them, with the Vocal Gender to set and a reminder to leave Instrumental off.

How do you tell Loudly what to avoid?

Loudly has no negative prompt, so describe what you want instead. APMonster turns things to avoid into what they leave room for: no heavy distortion becomes a clean mix, and no trap hi-hats becomes a soft drum machine.

How does Loudly take song structure?

Text to Music's prompt takes no section tags. APMonster describes the song's arc in a sentence in the prompt and gives the length to set, from 30 to 420 seconds.

The example song's structure, as APMonster writes it for Loudly
Opens with a soft instrumental intro, builds into a steady verse, surges into a strong chorus, drops to a steady verse, surges into a strong chorus, drops to a soft bridge, surges into a full-force chorus, and ends on a very soft instrumental outro.

This sentence goes into the prompt, and the length setting is the song's length, 2:47.

How do you release a Loudly track?

Loudly says its tracks reach Spotify, Apple Music and the other stores only through Loudly's own Releases: not by uploading them yourself, and not through another distributor. Its page says to take a track through Loudly's mastering first if it is meant for release.

APMonster's release pack says so for a song written for Loudly, on the release screen and in the pack itself.

One brief, written for Loudly

Every guide on this site writes the same song for its platform. This is the shape APMonster asks for on Loudly; the wording of a generated prompt varies from one generation to the next.

Prompt
Wistful dream pop at 92 BPM with a late-1980s shimmer and a gently building energy. Chorus-soaked guitar and warm analog synth pads float over a soft drum machine and round bass in a clean, airy mix.
The arc (added to the prompt)
Opens with a soft instrumental intro, builds into a steady verse, surges into a strong chorus, drops to a steady verse, surges into a strong chorus, drops to a soft bridge, surges into a full-force chorus, and ends on a very soft instrumental outro.
Length setting
2:47

What changed for Loudly, and why

  • There is no negative prompt, so heavy distortion became a clean, airy mix, and trap hi-hats became a soft drum machine.
  • The breathy female vocal was left out: this prompt is for Loudly's instrumental VEGA models. For the song with that voice, LyrAssist's Loudly MANTA 1 target writes the lyrics and a Style box that describes it.
  • The energy and the tempo went into the words, because Text to Music has no setting for either; the key was left out.
  • The length became the duration setting, 2:47, inside Loudly's 30 to 420 seconds.
